Preheat oven to 120°C .
But pear into very fine slices .
In a saucepan , on high heat , bring to the boil , then reduce heat to low and cook for 3 minutes or until all the sugar has dissolved .
Now add the pears to the syrup mixture and cook for 4 minutes , then drain and arrange on a wire rack , over an oven tray .
Place pear arranged wire rack into the preheated oven and bake for 3 hours or until pears turn very crisp - turning several times during the cooking process .
Once crisp and ready , remove from heat and let cool , serve in a bowl and enjoy . :-) .
