Preheat oven at 350c
Toast wheat bran @ 350c
In half cup water, boil 1 cup raisins then blend.
Mix bran, buttermilk, raisin puree, 1 cup water, orange zest and brown sugar.
Stir in oil, eggs and egg white.
Add flour, baking powder, baking soda, pecans and salt to the wet mix.
Mix together and add remaining half-cup of raisins.
Spoon into muffin tray and bake for 25-30 mins.
