Spray a 9x13 or larger baking dish with non stick spray.
Melt butter in 350°F oven. Remove and add shredded chicken over melted butter.
Sprinkle black pepper and sage over chicken layer. If you would like, you can add mixed vegetables at this point.
In separate bowl mix milk and bisquick until smooth.. Pour over chicken layer evenly.
In separate bowl mix chicken stock, ( can use stock from boiling chicken earlier, just strain well ) chicken granules and soup.
Blend well and slowly pour over bisquick layer.
Bake at 350 for 30-40 minutes or until bubbly and slightly browned on top.
I sometime omit the bisquick layer and after I layer all other ingredients, I use 1 sleeve ritz crackers crushed, and a stick of melted butter. Mix well and sprinkle over soup layer. To me it taste like chicken pot pie or chicken ala king with the crackers. Try it both ways and see which you like best :)
